Commercial and Deep Sea Diving Equipment Company
Diving Equipment and Salvage Company (DESCO)
Diving Equipment and Salvage Company (DESCO) was formed in 1937 as the manufacturer of the newly designed deep sea diving equipment by Max Nohl and Jack Browne. DESCO manufactures equipment for the commercial diving industry, represents other company’s complimentary products and offers repair services to the collector and classic equipment diving community. We also reach out to the watersport community with custom wooden water skis and equipment.
DESCO is a proud distributor for Viking Dry Suits, Composite Beat Engel Deep Sea Lightweight Helmets and Bronco wet welding rods. We also provide you with accessories to compliment your dry suit including undergarments, valve kits, maintenance kits, over boots and glove and ring systems.
For the deep sea diving fanatics we carry a unique line of vintage inspired deep sea diving jewelry as well as embellished accessories and apparel with a diving theme.
Local Milwaukee Deep Sea Diving Shop
DESCO manufactures our own equipment in our Milwaukee deep sea diving shop. You may not think of an inland city as a hub of deep sea diving activity but Milwaukee has a long tradition in hyperbaric and diving science. Milwaukee is known as the “Beer Capitol” but during the war we also were known as “The Nation’s Machine Shop”. Virtually all the metal components of our equipment are fabricated in Wisconsin. DESCO has long standing relationships with many local suppliers.
Our longevity in the industry has resulted in DESCO making many friends and business contacts around the world. In instances where another company’s products may complement our own quality lines, we will forge an alliance and offer those products alongside our own. DESCO’s top goal is to provide you with everything you need for commercial and deep sea diving – whether actually diving or just collecting.
